Dr. Knudson is a summa cum laude graduate of the University of North Dakota, a graduate of George Washington University Medical School in Washington D.C., and a graduate of the University of Maryland psychiatric residency program and geriatric psychiatry fellowship program.
He has 25 years of clinical experience treating a range of psychiatric disorders on both an inpatient and outpatient basis. Presently he is a practicing psychiatrist at and the medical director of The Tasks Unlimited Program, in the Minneapolis area, and is on the psychiatric staff of North Memorial Medical Center.
Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, with past additional certification by the ABPN, in geriatric psychiatry, Dr. Knudson has a special interest and expertise in geriatric, late adolescent and general adult psychiatry.
He treats patients 14 and older. Along with his clinical work, Dr. Knudson is also an Associate Professor at the University Of Minnesota School Of Medicine, where he has supervised medical students, residents, and geriatric fellows.
He was chosen as the 2003 Minnesota Provider of the Year by the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI), and has been named six times to the Minneapolis St. Paul "Best Doctors of the Twin Cities", by his physician and nursing peers.
