Dr. Anderson is a licensed psychologist, providing counseling for adults, adolescents, couples and families. Drawing on a variety of therapeutic techniques and building on patients' strengths, she helps people achieve their personal goals, manage transitions, overcome obstacles, and cope with loss - often in collaboration with psychiatrists and other medical professionals.
Dr. Anderson works with patients experiencing anxiety, depression, life-changing events and relationship conflict. She works extensively with individuals and families faced with divorce issues, ranging from co-parenting difficulties to parent-child reunification.
Dr. Anderson obtained her doctorate in counseling psychology from the University of St. Thomas, her master's degree in psychology from St. Mary's University of Minnesota (Twin Cities) and her B.A. from the University of Minnesota (Twin Cities), with a major in psychology. She completed her post-doctoral fellowships at Hennepin County Family and Children's Mental Health Center and at Fraser Children and Family Center. Dr. Anderson is currently a member of a number of organizations, including the Minnesota Psychological Association, CHADD (Children & Adults with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder), the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, and the Minnesota Alternative Dispute Resolution Collaboration Project.
